Sonic the Hedgehog XIII: See No Evil

	Tails pressed his face against the window, staring out at 
the rain. "I can't believe what happened. They won. They 
won against us. Bunny, Antoine, and Sonette will be 
ashamed." He looked at the steady stream of rain falling onto 
Knothole. It was only a week after the startling defeat the 
Freedom Fighters had received. Sonic X was nowhere to be 
seen. Binx's blindness has not improved, and she still has 
moments during the day when she goes hysterical. Sally, 
Sonic, and Tails have to hold her down because she 
becomes so violent. "I can't believe it, the world's coming to 
an end." Binx told Sonic that maybe they should become 
friends once again, but not like a divorce. It would simply be 
a separation. 
	Sonic walked into the room and saw Tails looking out the 
window. "Tails, come eat."
	"I'm not hungry."
	"Come on Tails. You haven't eaten for days. You going 
to get sick if you don't start eating."
	Tails turned and stood up, raising his fist. "Then I'll die, 
right?! Then I'll be out of this hell hole, right?! I'll be with my 
family!"
	Sonic walked towards him and grabbed his neck. "You 
wanna die? I'll kill you right now and put you out of your 
misery."
	"Let go! I can't breath!"
	Sonic obediently let go of the hold. "Let that be a lesson 
to you Tails. God didn't make you a Freedom Fighter so you 
would quit and die, did he? I didn't think so."
	"I don't understand why you aren't upset Sonic. You're 
not married, and your ex-wife is blind!"
	"I gotta get through it Tails. Life can never reverse itself."
	Tails shook Sonic's hand. "God, if I weren't so concerned 
with my love life right now, I would hug you!"
	"Concerned?"
	Tails bushed. "Sonic, I'm 19 years old."
	"Oh! Well you better start looking you know!"
	They laughed as they walked into Binx's room.
	
	"Robotnik, a strange black panther has been seen 
roaming Knothole," Tails X said, looking through the 
telescope.
	"WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT?" Robotnik 
demanded.
	"Um, Robotnik, if you haven't noticed this isn't really a 
wildlife area."
	"Gee, thanks for the useless info." 
	"Mr. Wizard over there thinks he's the king," Knuckles 
said, standing up. 
	Tails X walked away from the telescope. "I don't care 
anymore. When you guys get eaten by that thing don't come 
crawling to me."
	Destiny laughed. "We can't silly if we're inside the 
panther!"
	Robotnik rolled his eyes. "Oh my my my..."
	Sirens sounded throughout the castle. Robotnik ran 
towards the telescope. "We're under attack!"
	Destiny threw down her hair brush and jumped under the 
table. "Ahhhh! The panther's here!"
	"It's not the stinking panther! At least I don't think so..," 
Knuckles said, getting mad.
	"Then what's attacking us?" Robotnik asked.
	Tails X checked the castle using the security cameras. 
"No one is in the castle, Robotnik. I don't know what could 
have set off the-"
	A loud knock came at the door. Destiny crawled out 
from under the able and pressed herself against the wall. "Oh 
my God, we're all gonna die."
	The knock came once again, this time shaking the door. 
Destiny grabbed Knuckle's arm. "It's going to killing us!"
	Before Robotnik could reach the door, the door flew out 
of the hinges and crashed to the door at his feet. "Sonic X, 
what-what is it?"
	Sonic X walked into the room and saw Destiny. He 
walked over to her and pulled her away from Knuckles. 
"What kind of sister are you?" He saw the bruise on her arm. 
"Oh, and what is this? A boo boo?" He threw her arm down 
and looked at Tails X. "And you..."He pointed his finger at Tails 
X, who was sitting on the window sill.
	"What do you want with me?" Tails X said smiling.
	Sonic X dragged Destiny over to Tails X, holding her arm. 
"What the heck do you call this? A hickey?"
	Tails X laughed.
	"JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION!" Destiny cried in pain.
	"What do you want me to say?" he said, jumping down 
from the window sill.
	Sonic X grabbed Tails X's chin. "Say you did this to her," 
he whispered.
	"No."
	He squeezed him harder. "Say it."
	Tails X yelped in pain. "I did it," he whispered.
	"LOUDER."
	"I did it, I hit her," he announced to everyone.

			Chapter 2

	Sonic X threw down Destiny's arm once again. "You 
better watch it, your a little hot-headed. Just because I was 
gone, doesn't mean you take over my place in the castle."
	"And what place is that?" Robotnik laughed.
	Sonic X turned around and stared Robotnik in the face. 
"Listen you pot-belly pig, I give the orders around here. You 
do what I say. Cabeash?"
	Robotnik pushed him away. "No way! I may not have 
created you, but I can easily destroy you."
	Sonic X walked over to the door. He turned one last time 
to Robotnik, Destiny, Tails X, and Knuckles. "I don't have time 
for this crap. I have better things to do."
	He walked out of the door, and Robotnik let out a huge 
sigh of relief.
	
	"Binx, are you sure you will be okay by yourself?" Sonic 
asked, holding her hand.
	Binx stared into space. "Sonic, I can't see but I'm not 
stupid. Go, go."
	Sonic, Tails, and Sally were going to a pigeon keepers 
house to see if one of their pigeons brought back Sonette's 
skull. "Go Sonic. I'll be fine."
	"Sonic, the taxi is here. Let's go," Tails shouted into the 
house.
	Sonic got up and walked to the taxi. "Bye Binx."
	After they left, Binx sat in silence. "If only I could see one 
more time." She played with a blanket on the bed she was 
sitting on. She tried to pass the time. "@This little light of mine, 
I'm gonna let it shine...this little light on mine, I'm gonna let it-
@ who's there?"
	Her singing was disturbed by something being knocked 
over. "Sonic?"
	It was silent. She tried to start to sing again, but fear 
overwhelmed her. She began to cry. "This is terrible. I can't 
take it any...who's there?"
	"Don't worry Binx. I'm here to help."
	"Sonic?"
	A hand grabbed her shoulder. "Binx, come with me."
	"Sonic?! Sonic?!"
	"Binx, it's me. Sonic X. Come with me Binx. Join the third 
side of this ordeal."
	"No, no. Please, leave. There is no third side. Only good 
and evil. Good and evil!"
	The hand disappeared. She felt it on her face. "I am 
your destiny...," the voice whispered in her ear.
	She was shaking with fear. "Why are you doing this?"
	"Destiny..."
	She pushed his hand off her face. "No! Get away!"
	She felt a glass bottle against her face. "Binx, join me."
	"The potion..."
	"There is some left Binx. I found it. Something out in 
Knothole may have used it. But it doesn't matter now. Join me 
and drink...become animal again..."
	"I would like that, but no! I can't! I've been bad 
before..."
	Sonic X laughed. "You wouldn't be bad! I am not good 
nor evil."
	Binx searched for the potion. "Let me have it..."
	Sonic X pulled it out of reach. "Oh no no no! This potion 
is part of the deal! Are you in........or out?"
	"I guess I'm...."
	"In or out..."
	Binx stood up and put out her hands. "In."

			Chapter 3

	Sonic X took out a pair of bracelets. "These are just to 
make it official." He pressed them against Binx's wrists.
	"No!" Binx said,  feeling the bracelets brush her hands, she 
pulled her hands away. "No! I won't! I want that potion now and I won't 
become bad to get it!"
	"I'm not bad, Binx. We'll be partners, that's why I pulled 
you out Binx, I was hoping that I would get this opportunity. 
Even though you cannot see, I can."
	Binx pushed him away. "Get out! Now!"
	Sonic X pushed her onto the bed. He held her down and 
placed the bracelets onto her wrists. A surge of electricity 
went through her body. "NOOOOO!"
	"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Good-bye Freedom Fighters!"
	Sonic X let Binx up. "Come."
	"Yes, Sonic X. I will follow," she said as her eyes turned 
red. They walked out of the door and into the woods.
	
	"Robotnik! That black panther is back again!" Knuckles 
cried as he saw the panther sniffing around the castle.
	Robotnik got up and ran downstairs. "Let's go!"
	They ran down and pushed open the door. There was 
nothing outside. 
	Tails X punched the wall. "We beat them, but why do I 
feel like that panther has something to do with this whole 
ordeal?"
	Destiny wrapped her arms around him. "Tailsie, don't 
worry. We'll beat them, if we have to."

	Sonic X led Binx into a dark cave. "We're here." He 
threw her onto a rock. "Stay there, I'll be back."
	Binx began to cry as Sonic X left. "Why is this happening? 
This is so confusing! I'm half and half!" Tears flowed down her 
face. She looked up and noticed something blurry. "What's 
happening to me?" The picture became clearer, and finally 
she could see. "I'M BACK! But what is that?" She looked into 
the corner and saw a stand with tiny holes in it. There were 
seven, seven holes. "This is where the emeralds will be once 
he gets them!" 
	"Once you get them," a figure behind her said. Binx 
turned around and saw a tiny black kitten sitting on her rock. 
"Aw, aren't you so cute?!" She picked it up and walked to 
the door. "There you go," she said, putting it down. The kitten 
stayed at the door, hiding behind a wall. Binx looked at the 
crystal holes and saw the green emerald. She picked it up 
and placed it in her pocket. The kitten ran in and bit her leg.
	"Ow! Shoo shoo you stupid cat!" Binx kicked the kitten 
out the door. She ran out of the door and towards the cabins.
	The kitten smiled. "Stupid girl. I tried to warn her."



			Chapter 4

	Sonic, Tails, and Sally returned a short time after Binx did. 
she told the story. 
	"You should have brought that kitten home!" Sally said. 
She looked on the window sill and saw a crow. "Hey guys, 
look at that cool black crow!"
	Sonic walked over and put his index finger out to see if 
the bird would sit on it. The crow bit Sonic. "Ow! Stupid little..." 
He reached for the bird but it flew away.
	Tails laughed. "Serves you right! That thing could have 
rabies!"
	"Ha ha, real funny," he said, washing his hand. "Binx, I 
can't believe you can see again. It's a miracle!"
	Binx rubbed her eyes. "I keep thinking it's a game, it was all 
too easy. I mean, I was able to see at that moment, weird 
stuff."
	Sally hugged her as she held the emerald. "It's so good 
to have the green chaos emerald back!"
	Tails rubbed his chin as he spoke. "Let's go and look in 
the cave."
	Sonic and Sally ran out the door. "Come on! Before he 
returns from where he was when Binx left!"
	
	"Ow! Are you sure we're going the right way?" Robotnik 
said, brushing the branches away.
	Knuckles kept walking towards the clearing. "Panthers 
like wide open areas. I bet you the panther is in the clearing."
	"I hate this! Look at my hair!" Destiny cried, pulling 
leaves out of her hair. "Are we there yet Knuckles?"
	Knuckles pulled away a clump of branches to reveal the 
clearing. He quickly close it, seeing Sonic X sitting on a rock. 
Robotnik pushed Knuckles out of the way and walked into the 
clearing. "Sonic X! What are you doing here?"
	"Get away from me."
	Tails X walked into the clearing followed by the others. 
"Awww, is that anyway to treat your peers?"
	Sonic X didn't look at them. He just stared blankly at the 
ground. "I have no peers."
	Destiny walked over and put her arm around him. "Sonic 
X, join us. You're a minority!"
	"I don't care."
	"What did we do to you?" Knuckles asked.
	"I was perfectly fine without you. Now look at me. You 
are back Robotnik. It's not fair."
	Robotnik laughed. "We could crush you like a bug. 
We're a majority! 4 against 1 isn't very fair!"
	"YEAH, BUT 4 AGAINST 5 IS!" Sonic yelled as he, Sally, 
Tails, and Binx ran into the clearing.
	Sonic X looked at them and saw Binx. "It can't be..."
	"I would never join the bad side," Binx said.
	"He's not bad."
	"We're bad!" Destiny yelled.
	Sonic threw up his hands. "Whoa whoa whoa! Who said 
that?"
	"Who said what?" Tails X asked.
	"Someone answered Sonic X's question for him."
	The black panther appeared behind Sonic X. "He is not 
bad."
	Tails laughed. "Hey man, groovy cat!"
	The black panther transformed into a black kitten. 
"Remember me Binx?"
	Binx gasped. "Oh my God!"
	The black kitten then transformed into a black crow. 
"Remember me Sonic?"
	"It can't be! But how?"
	Sonic X jumped back with Sonic. "I have nothing to do 
with it!"
	"SHE DRANK THE POTION!" Binx yelled.
	"WHAT POTION?! YOU NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THE 
POTION!" Sally yelled. 
	"SONIC X THREATENED ME WITH THE POTION! OUR 
POTION! SHE GOT TO IT BEFORE SONIC X DID!"
	Tails X morphed into his eagle. He smiled. "So did I."
	The black crow transformed into a girl. Like Binx but with 
black eyes and black hair. "My name is Kit. Kit Panther."
	Robotnik whistled. "Hey, nice legs! You bad?"
	She smiled. "I don't take sides."
	Sonic X walked over to Robotnik and held out his wrists. 
"Put them on and lets get out of here."
	Destiny smiled and hugged Sonic X. "I knew you'd join us 
again!"
	Kit transformed into a black snake and slithered over to 
Sonic X. 
	"Look out!" Destiny screamed. 
	Sonic X jumped as the snake tried to bite him. Sonic ran 
over and tried to grab the snake but it turned around and bit 
Sonic.
	"SONIC!" Binx said, holding his head. 
	Kit transformed back into herself. "I'll be back for you 
Sonic X. I need that potion for myself. I need to become 
stronger."
	"I need a place to live. The castle is my only help 
because I have these nitwits to guard me. You'll never get 
the potion now!"
	Kit laughed. She turned to Binx and pointed at Sonic X. 
"He brings meaning to the phrase `See No Evil', huh?"
	Sonic stepped in front of Binx, guarding her. "Don't ever 
come near her again."
	"STOP! STOP STOP STOP!" Tails X screamed.
	"What?!" Kit said, annoyed. 
	"How long have you been this way?"
	"As in..."
	"Able to morph?"
	"Oh, a couple of years. Why?"
	Sally's eyes went wide. "Oh no!"
	Tails held Sally as she collapsed. 
	"NO NO NO NO!"
	"What is it?!" Sonic cried, confused.
	"SHE-SHE HAS MY MOTHER'S HEAD!"
	
			Chapter 5

	Tails X gasped. "That pigeon was black."
	Kit smiled. "Black's my color."
	Tails held Sally back as she tried to hit Kit. "GIVE IT 
BACK!"
	"I don't have it anymore."
	"THEN WHO DOES?!" Binx demanded.
	"I dropped it off somewhere."
	"Tails! Tails!" a voice behind him. Tails turned around and 
saw Miles. "Miles! What are you doing here?"
	Miles held up Sonette's head. "I found it at the graves! I 
was coming back to visit you so I decided I would go by the 
graves. It was laying on Sonette's grave."
	Tails looked mysteriously at Kit. "Did you know?"
	"No. I had no idea. Seriously."
	Miles walked over to Kit and smiled. "Hey cutie, what ya 
say we catch a bite to eat?"
	Kit transformed into a black tiger with white stripes. She 
hissed at him. "GET AWAY FROM ME!"
	Tails ran towards Miles. "Miles get away!"
	Miles stretched out his hand. "I only want to pet her..."
	Kit snapped at Miles and then jumped on him. 
"AHHHHHHH! TAILS!"
	Tails screamed and dropped to his knees. "NOOOO! 
MILES NO!"
	Sonic jumped onto Kit and tried to pull her off. Blood was 
flying everywhere. "YOU'RE KILLING HIM!"
	Robotnik and Knuckles joined in the fight to get her off. 
"DON'T KILL HIM! STOP!" Robotnik yelled.
	So everyone but Tails was trying to get Kit off of Miles. 
Miles abruptly stopped crying. Kit jumped off of him, blood 
dripping off her mouth. "Blood."
	Miles, bloody and torn, laid in front of her. His face was 
barely recognizable. "NOOOO! TAILS!"
	"She's a vampire! Get away!" Destiny yelled.
	Kit transformed into her normal self and bowed. "Thank 
you, thank you. What would you like me to be next?"
	Destiny waved her hands. "No no, you stay there, Count 
Transforumla."
	Kit turned around to face Sonic X. "I'll be back for the 
potion. You better have it, or you'll be next." She turned into 
an eagle and flew away.
	Sonic walked over to Sonic X and tapped his chest. "You 
better bring the potion."
	Sonic X nodded. "I will. If it means one of us dying to get 
it, then I will."
	Tails held Miles in his arms. "Miles...no..." He began to cry 
as he remembered when Miles left Knothole. His face clinging 
to the window. Tails looked up at the sky and shuddered. "I'll 
get you Kit, you and all your stinkin' transformations!"
	Sonic helped Tails up and they start to walk away. 
	"Um, are you going to have a funeral?" Robotnik asked. 
	Tails turned around and snarled, "Why? So you could 
come and ruin it?"
	Robotnik shook his head. "Tails, I have never been so-"
	"FULL OF IT!" Tails screamed. 
	"I have never been so serious in my life Tails. Miles was a 
good fighter and I think we want to show that by going to his 
funeral."
	"You can come," Tails whispered. Robotnik smiled. "I 
promise nothing will happen."
	Sonic X walked over to Binx and put his hands on her 
shoulders. "Any second thoughts about me and you?"
	"None what so ever."
	He frowned. "I just want my emerald back..."
	"That's all you want?"
	"Oh no! And you."
	Binx laughed. "Everyone else left but me. I have to go."
	"Destiny...," he whispered in her ear.
	"Sonic X, I will never be on your side. Not after what you 
did to my friends."
	Sonic X chuckled. "The Incredible Explosive Man, who 
would have thought?"
	"How did you do it? Blow them up? I mean, you were 
wired. If it went off, you would have blown up too."
	He raised his finger to his lips. "Shhhh, great magicians 
never reveal their secrets."
	Binx walked away, looking at Sonic X. "See you at the 
funeral."
	Sonic X held up his bracelets. "You," he mouthed. "Soon 
enough."
